Disappointed would be an understatement. Madonna is furious and hurt over a recent profile on her. The 60-year-old icon took to social media to slam an article published in the New York Times recently. The international singer and pop icon had given an in-depth interview to the international publication. However, she wasn't expecting the article to turn out the way it did. The NYT wrote a piece titled "Madonna at Sixty" which primarily focused on her age. The singer took to Instagram to blast the publication and deemed it "one of the founding fathers of the patriarchy."

She shared a few photos from the shoot and slammed the outlet and journalist who penned down the article. She started off by saying that one cannot fix society. She explained that the journalist chose to focus on "trivial and superficial matters" over her achievements.

"To say that I was disappointed in the article would be an understatement-It seems. You cant fix society," she said. "And its endless need to diminish, Disparage or degrade that which they know is good. Especially strong independent women," she added. The singer narrowed down on the journalist and wrote, "The journalist who wrote this article spent days and hours and months with me and was invited into a world which many people dont get to see, but chose to focus on trivial and superficial matters such as the ethnicity of my stand in or the fabric of my curtains and never ending comments about my age which would never have been mentioned had I been a MAN!"

"Women have a really hard time being the champions of other women even if. they are posing as intellectual feminists," she added. NYT described Madonna's reign in the 1980s by writing "her iron will to forge a particular type of highly autobiographical, uber-empowered, hypersexualized female pop star who became the dominant model of femininity across the nation." The article went on to deem her current status as a "sexagenarian claiming her space among artists two generations younger."

She went on to share her regret. "Im sorry i spent 5 minutes with her. It makes me feel raped. And yes I’m allowed to use that analogy having been raped at the age of 19," she said. Madonna had previously made the rape comment back in 2015 when “Rebel Heart” album leaked. "Further proof that the venerable N.Y.T. Is one of the founding fathers of the Patriarchy. And I say—-DEATH TO THE PATRIARCHY woven deep into the fabric of Society. I will never stop fighting to eradicate it," Madonna said.
