It has been almost a year since Mac Miller passed away. The renowned rapper died on September 7 after a drug overdose in his Studio City home. At the time, investigations revealed Miller's death was a result of snorting the counterfeit pills. Now, it has been reported that the man who allegedly supplied drugs to Miller before his death has been arrested. According to international reports, the suspect has been identified as Cameron James Pettit. The 28-year-old man has been charged for selling the rapper counterfeit drugs which contained fentanyl. The sale was made two days before Miller's death, federal prosecutors revealed.

New York Times reports that the complaint filed in United States District Court in Los Angeles accuses Pettit of supplying Miller oxycodone pills, cocaine and Xanax. The oxycodone provided to the 26-year-old rapper were which contained fentanyl, the complaint states. Fentanyl is a synthetic opiate which is said to be 50 times as powerful as heroin.

Not only did the document feature details about the drugs but it also shared an insight into Miller's final days. It has been revealed that soon after Miller's death, Pettit exchanged messages with another user that he might "die in jail." He allegedly wrote: "I am not great ... Most likely I will die in jail," before adding, "I'm gonna get off the grid. Move to another country." There were also messages between Miller and Pettit in the court documents that revealed the details of Pettit's sale to Miller.

Pettit appeared in federal court on Wednesday in downtown Los Angeles. CBS Los Angeles reports Pettit has been detained without bail pending trial and has been given an arraignment date of October 11. If convicted, Pettit could face a sentence of 20 years.
