Why would you do this to us, Hugh Jackman! We love the Aussie actor for he shares some interesting posts on his Instagram. Sometimes, he takes a dig at Ryan Reynolds, with the help of Jake Gyllenhaal, on other occasions, he shares videos and photos from him musical performances. But today, Hugh decided to cause a social media meltdown when he shared an unseen picture from his days as the Wolverine. Hugh decided to take on "throwback Thursday" and left everyone sobbing.
The actor, who played the Wolverine for 16 glorious years, took a bow as the X-Men character in Logan in 2017. However, it seems like Hugh was in the mood to walk down the memory lane as he shared a picture from the sets of his X-Men movie. In the picture shared, Hugh is seen suited up in his Wolverine outfit, flaunting his claws while Ralph Winter and Lee Cleary are seen standing beside him.
Hugh shared the picture with the caption, "Two unsung heroes of the early years. Ralph Winter and Lee Cleary. #Wolverine #xmen #throwbackthursday." Check out the picture below:
Given Wolverine was killed in the James Mangold directorial, leaving slim chances for Jackman's return. However, the actor was up to reprise his iconic role provided there was a chance of an X-Men and Avengers crossover. When the Disney-Fox acquisition was announced, Hugh changed his mind and said that he wasn't open to returning to the X-Men universe.
However, with this new post, fans began begging him to return as the Wolverine in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. "We need you in the MCU," said a Marvel fan page. "Please, be Wolverine again," added another fan. "I believe you will return as Wolverine," shared another fan. "There is only one Wolverine, Mr Hugh Jackman," read another comment.
