Barney Stinson is a fictional character from the popular sitcom, How I Met Your Mother. The show ran for nine seasons before it went off the air in 2013. The plot of HIMYM revolved around Ted Mosby, who in the year 2030 is telling the story to his kids about how he met their mother and stories revolving his social and love life. Barney Stinson is one of Ted’s best friends apart from Marshall Erickson.
Barney Stinson’s personality is that of a playboy, who loves laser tag, wearing suits and drinking expensive scotch. His popular catchphrases are "Suit Up!" and "It’s going to be Legend...wait for it...dary! Legendary," amongst others. Despite his playboy personality, Barney falls hard for Robin Scherbatsky. They get married but sadly, also separate. Though the story is about Ted Mosby, somehow Barney Stinson always stole the show.

1] Barney planning to trick Marshall
Marshall wears a ducky tie in one of the episodes. Marshall then challenges Barney to do the same sushi cooking style at the restaurant they are in. If he fails he has to wear the ducky tie for the rest of the year. Lily begins to suspect that Barney has planned this all along since she saw him and the chef looking at each other. Marshall then realises it has been Barney’s plan to get something out of him.
2] How Barney met Ted
It is hilarious to watch Barney and Ted interact for the very first time as Barney tries to pick women up and Ted uses sign language to save the women from Barney’s trap which Barney misunderstand as a wingman move.
3] Where the Slap Bets started
It was the same episode when Robin Sparkles debuted. From Slapsgiving to the last slap, slap bets became a crucial part of the show's legacy.
4] ‘The Bracket’
While Barney tries to pick women up, it fails miserably. One of the girls Barney previously dated was spreading word that girls shouldn’t date Barney. So the gang tries to solve who the girl might be. The whole episode is worth watching.
