Hobbs & Shaw: Dwayne Johnson’s Fast & Furious contract lists the number of hits they can give and receive
Hobbs & Shaw released this weekend. The movie sees Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham reprising their Fast & Furious roles in the movie. A new report sheds the light on their contracts.
We have seen Dwayne Johnson pack in the punches and emerge victoriously at the end of the Fast & Furious movies. Hobbs & Shaw was no different. The actor, along with Jason Statham, put up a good fight against Idris Elba in the David Leitch directorial. While it is obvious that the good guys win, it is in Dwayne's Fast & Furious contract that he cannot lose a fight. It is true! A new international report shed light on The Rock's contract where his dos and don't have been listed.
As per a Wall Street Journal report, the wrestler-turned-actor cannot lose a fight in the movie. The actor's character, Luke Hobbs would emerge as a winner every time he steps out to fight. If that wasn't enough, it has been revealed that his hits are numbered. The actor cannot hit his on-screen villain beyond a certain number.
"According to producers and crew members on the films, Mr. Statham, 51 years old, negotiated an agreement with the studio that limits how badly he can be beaten up on screen. Mr Diesel, 52, has his younger sister, a producer on the films, police the number of punches he takes. And Mr Johnson, 47, enlists producers, editors and fight coordinators to help make sure he always gives as good as he gets," the publication reports. Interesting isn't it! The report comes amidst the release of Hobbs & Shaw.
The duo comes together to fight Elba in the movie and has opened the door for a possible sequel. They will probably pack in a few punches against the internet's new boyfriend. While it is to see who could play the next villain, speculations suggest that it could be Keanu Reeves.
Stay tuned for all updates.
