Henry Cavill REVEALS if he will ever play Superman again; says the cape is still in the closet
In a recent interview, Henry Cavill got candid about the prospect of playing Superman, one more time! The Mission: Impossible – Fallout (2018) star shared that the Superman cape is still in the closet and it's still his. Read below to know more about what Henry had to say on the same.
When Justice League (2017) came about, DCEU (DC Extended Universe) fans were hoping for pure magic to rival the MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe)! With a stellar dream cast - Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Gal Gadot, Ezra Miller, Jason Momoa and Ray Fisher - one expected fireworks but that was further from the actual final product! The Zack Snyder directorial was a major letdown at the box-office and was widely criticised by both fans and reviewers, specifically for its screenplay. Eventually, Gal and Jason moved on with solo successes of Wonder Woman (2017) and Aquaman (2018), while Ben stepped down from his role as the Caped Crusader.
That begs the question - what about Superman? While Ben was critiqued viciously as Batman, Henry never had such qualms because he was universally loved as Clark Kent. In a recent interview with Men's Health, the 36-year-old actor revealed that Superman's cape is in the closet and still very much his. When asked if his time as Superman was done and dusted post Justice League, Cavill confessed, "I’m not going to sit quietly in the dark as all the stuff is going on. I’ve not given up the role. There’s a lot I have to give for Superman yet. A lot of storytelling to do."

"A lot of real, true depths to the honest of the character I wasn’t to get into. I want to reflect the comic books. That’s important to me. There’s a lot of justice to be done for Superman. The status is: You’ll see," the Mission: Impossible – Fallout (2018) star added.
