Although as you gear up to catch the second part, we take you back to all the major happenings of the first season to get you back on track for what lies ahead. The first season of the show began with an introduction of Geralt (Henry Cavill) doing what he knows how to do best and that's slaying monsters as he takes on a battle with kikimora in the swamps. Further on, we get to see Geralt's first meet with Renfri (Emma Appleton) who is a princess-on-the run. Later it is discovered that during his meet with Stregobor (Lars Mikkelsen), Geralt is offered a job to help kill Renfri although the job is refused by the Witcher who then heads his own way. Not long after, Geralt gets a similar proposition from Renfri who seeks his help to kill Stregobor instead. Following dreams that forewarn him of the harm Renfri could pose to the townspeople, Geralt ends up killing her and is soon forced to leave from Blaviken.
Further on, the series introduces us to its other main characters. The next one being Yennefer (Anya Chalotra), who is bullied because of her deformities. In the meantime, we also meet Ciri (Freya Allan). The first season also explores Yennefer's journey after she is sold to the sorceress Tissaia. On realising her power, Yennefer is eager to get a chance to alter her appearance and undergoes a painful magical procedure for the same.

As for Geralt, he continues on his adventures with Jaskier who continues to annoy Geralt during his journey to find the djinn’s bottle to cure his insomnia. Following a mishap on account of Jaskier, the djinn’s bottle which was obtained from a lake, gets opened and after a thoroughly annoyed Geralt wishes for some peace, Jaskier ends up losing his ability to speak. Although after realising his mistake, Geralt then takes Jaskier to the nearest farm where he finds an elf healer, Chireadan who then serves him with a potion to heal the infection caused by his magical curse. Following this incident, Geralt also runs into Yennefer after he comes looking for a mage at the Mayor's house. It's during this encounter that the duo end up falling for each other. Geralt later also confesses to Yennefer that his last wish in the mayor’s house was to bind their fates together forever.
As for Geralt's flashbacks, he later also witnesses the Nilfgaardian invasion of Cintra and senses that Ciri is going to be in danger. Later we get to experience one of the best sequences of the series during the battle for Sodden Hill where unfortunately many mages are killed at the hands of Nilfgaard and Fringilla. Although the battle comes to halt after Yennefer lets out a powerful stream of fire following an emotional moment she shares with wounded Tissaia.
Towards the finale of the first season, we see Geralt having visions of his mother and he eventually falls unconscious. Later, he is taken to a farm the same one where Ciri also happened to have found herself. The Season 2 will now explore what happens ahead as Ciri and Geralt's destinies finally meet.
