The Battle of Winterfell was what kept many Game of Thrones' fans up all night! The magnanimous battle between Jon Snow and the living vs. The Night King and his dead army was the longest battle sequence in cinematic history and took 55 days to shoot. In the end, *SPOILERS ALERT* it was Arya Stark, who put an end to The Night King. However, there were many beloved characters we had to say goodbye to like Theon Greyjoy and Jorah Mormont.

With an episode of such epic proportions, the numbers drawn in have to be legendary as well and that is exactly what happened. The Long Night, which is season 8 episode 3 of GOT drew in 17.8 million overnight viewers, according to People magazine. This episode officially is the most-watched scripted series telecast of the year, which is an impressive feat for the show. Episode 1 of season 8 had 17.4 million viewers. However, these numbers are very minute in terms of the global coverage for the most popular show of the decade. Season 8 premiere is now up to a staggering 38 million viewers.
