In this week of Game of Thrones' episode, we finally got to witness the cinematic spectacle that was the Battle of Winterfell. On one side, we had Jon Snow aka Aegon Targaryen along with the living fighting for their survival against The Night King and his dead army. The odds were stacked against the former as The Night King managed to leave everyone terrified. Eventually, it wasn't Jon or Daenerys Targaryen who won the battle, but Arya Stark who put an end to The Night King.

While many were Team Arya, there were some who wanted an epic fight sequence between Jon Snow and The Night King, with Jon winning the battle for the living. However, the actor and stuntman who plays The Night King, Vladimír Furdík, defended GOT makers decision to have Arya kill the deadly villain. Talking to IndieWire, Vladimír Furdík revealed that he thought Arya killing The Night King was a "good decision". The reason for his statement was because he felt that not many people knew that this ending was possible.

An endless night. #GameofThrones

"Maybe ten minutes before Arya jumps on the Night King, we don’t know where she is. We see Jon Snow and other actors, but we don’t know where she is. Maybe somebody can predict it, but I think it was a good decision. Who else can kill him and how? It was the best, I think," Vladimír stated.
