Game of Thrones: A lot would have drastically changed if THIS scene wasn't deleted from the series
The scene if it was retained would have given fans a clue to many of Cersei's decisions she made in the final season. Lena stated that the scene from season seven, had Cersei 'lose the baby'.
Game of Thrones actress Lena Headey attended a comic book convention in Munich, Germany, where the star admitted to a vital scene which was completely deleted from the seventh season of Game of Thrones. The scene if it was retained would have given fans a clue to many of Cersei's decisions she made in the final season. Lena stated that the scene from season seven, had Cersei 'lose the baby' and she further called it a disturbing yet a magnificent moment for Cersei. She also said this particular twist was something she would have loved to portray on screen.
Lena said her character was pregnant with her brother Jaime's child in season seven. Then for season eight Cersei and other characters kept giving the baby reference. Later on Cersei led Euron Greyjoy into believing that he was the father of the child. But in a unexpected twist she was not shown pregnant. The story line would have been changed in a way after this twist.
Lena in an interview with The Guardian said while talking about Cersei's fate in the end, she had her own complains about the way things happened, but was holding on until she could speak with the Game of Thrones co-creators David Benioff and Dan Weiss. Lena felt strongly that her character needed a different ending from the one which was written. She further added that even if the story has changed there still would be some fans who had thought of a better way to end the character of Cersei. But, the makers were not really looking to please anyone and did what they thought was best for the show.
