It has been almost a month since Game of Thrones concluded. A lot has changed since. All the Game of Thrones stars are busy with their own lives. Sansa Stark aka Sophie Turner was seen on the big screen in Dark Phoenix. She is soon going to get married to Joe Jonas (again). Maisie William joined Sophie to celebrate the latter's bachelorette. Kit Harington checked himself into rehab and many others will soon be seen in different projects. The Game of Thrones stars are walking different paths. However, no matter how different their paths have been, Lena Headey reveals the cast stays in touch.
The actress played Cersei on the hit HBO show. On screen, she was seen bonding with only Jamie Lannister. However, off-screen, she says she's in touch with many of her Game of Thrones co-stars. Calling the cast Throners, Lena reveals that they are in touch on group chats. the actress spills the beans on the cast's goofiness.
Speaking with The Guardian, Lena revealed that she is in touch with many Game of Thrones cast members and they have a lot of fun despite the distance. “We’re all on a giant WhatsApp group which is a daily pile-on. It’s hilarious. You can tell who’s been drinking on that one," she said.
The actress also spoke about her character's death on the show. Fans would remember that Cersei died following Danearys' attack on King's Landing. Cersei came under the rubbles and died in the arms of her twin brother and lover Jamie Lannister. Game of Thrones followers were agitated by Cersei's death. Lena addressed the criticism over the actors not being up to the mark in the final season. She said, "I invested as a viewer and I have my favourite characters. And I’ve got a few of my own gripes. But I haven’t sat down drunkly with David [Benioff] and Dan [Weiss] yet." When asked what she would tell the creators if she were to sit down with them, she said, "I will say I wanted a better death.”
"Obviously you dream of your death. You could go in any way on that show. So I was kind of gutted. But I just think they couldn’t have pleased everyone. No matter what they did, I think there was going to be some big comedown from the climb," she added.
