Chris Hemsworth was pissed at his Avengers: Endgame co star Chris Evans for THIS reason
Chris Hemsworth, who will be back as Thor in Thor: Love and Thunder, was asked to react on the iconic Captain America moment in Avengers: Endgame, which included the God of Thunder's hammer aka Mjolnir. Read below to know what Chris had to say on the same.
Avengers: Endgame is officially the most successful Hollywood film ever made and it's surely justified, given how it culminated the decade long MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe) journey in three hours. It was the perfect swan song to the OG 6 Avengers - Iron Man, Captain America, Hulk, Thor, Black Widow and Hawkeye - who kickstarted the universe and made way for new superheroes like The Eternals, Blade, She-Hulk, Moon Knight and more. Amongst the OG 6 members who will return to the MCU once again are Chris, Scarlett and Jeremy!
During a recent appearance at ACE Comic Con, Hemsworth spoke candidly about Avengers: Endgame and was asked to react on the epic moment in the last few minutes of the MCU film when Captain America was worthy enough to pick up Thor's beloved hammer, Mjolnir. The 36-year-old actor, whose good friends with Chris Evans had a hilarious reply to give as he quipped, "Uh, pretty angry, yeah. I’m sick of people picking up that hammer, to be honest. It’s playing with my toys, you know, it’s like 'give me that.'"
Chris' reaction is in direct contrast to his character Thor's ecstatic reaction on knowing his friend from work was worthy just like him. The moderator pointed out the very fact that his performance during that sequence was amazing as it seemed as though he did not mind at all. "Yeah, thank you. I minded. Give it back, Cap. Have your little shield. I haven’t seen him pick up Stormbreaker yet, though," Hemsworth joked.
However, there is a sequence in Avengers: Endgame, during the last battle, when Thor and Steve Rogers exchange the Stormbreaker and Mlojnir. When the audience at ACE Comic Con pointed out his mistake, Chris clarified, "Did he? See, I did this when that happened," and covered his eyes.
While we won't be seeing Chris Evans as Captain America ever again, Chris Hemsworth will be back as Thor in Thor: Love and Thunder, which is slated to release on November 5, 2019.
