Chester Bennington's '90s band Grey Daze to release all new album in his honour, Details Inside
Chester Bennington's '90s band Grey Daze is planning on releasing an all new album in his honour. Read on for more Details.
Before joining Linkin Park and making his mark in the world of music, Chester Bennington was a part of various bands throughout the '90s, including Grey Daze, in which he performed alongside his friend Sean Dowdell. After focusing on their own music for a while, Bennington and the band were planning on reuniting for a performance. The people never really got to experience the magic since Bennington passed away in 2017, leaving his fans and the whole music industry in shock.
However, according to the late singer’s wife, Talinda Bennington, Grey Daze will continue their plans and will perform in honour of the celebrated rapper. “One of Chester's greatest gifts was music. The only thing he took more pride in was being a father to his children. Given how much he cared, he wanted fans to hear everything he did, and his musical journey started with Grey Daze,” Talinda wrote on twitter. She also revealed that the band was in the process of re-recording and then re-releasing their music with the singer and finally organise a 20th-anniversary reunion concert.
“Once the clouds lifted a bit, once we could focus on what Chester would want us to do, we looked for a way to continue what Chester was working on, the things he was proud of and wanted to share with his fans. The Grey Daze project is one of the ways we can continue to tell Chester's story and connect with his fans,” she concluded. While the Grey Daze is yet to announce the release date of the upcoming album, according to Billboard, it will be dropped through the late singer’s 320 Changes Direction foundation.
