RIP Chester Bennington: Top Songs of Linkin Park that inspired an entire generation
As we remember the late singer, Chester Bennington, let's reminisce the beautiful voice through the unforgettable songs by Linkin Park that helped to inspire an entire generation.
Every 90's kid remembers head banging and crooning along to Numb by Linkin Park. Our heart breaks today as it was reported that front lead of the band and beloved by many, Chester Bennington breathed his last. He committed suicide by hanging and his body was discovered by the police.
The music industry was left shocked at the sudden news and the singer was struggling with drugs and alcohol for quite some time now.
One of Chester's closest friends from the music world was Chris Cornell who passed away recently too and befittingly it was Chris's wife who shared a heartbreaking tweet for Chester.
She said, "Just when I thought my heart couldn't break anymore.....I love you, T."
Now as we remember the late singer, let's reminisce the beautiful voice through the unforgettable songs by Linkin Park that helped to inspire an entire generation:
1. Numb/Encore
I've become so numb. Can I get an encore, do you want more?
2. In The End
I tried so hard, and got so far. But in the end, it doesn't even matter.
3. Leave Out All The Rest
And when you're feeling empty, keep me in your memory. Leave out all the rest.
4. Bleed It Out
Doesn't matter how hard I try. Half the words don't mean a thing. And I know that I won't be satisfied. So, why try ignoring him?
5. Shadow Of The Day
And the shadow of the day will embrace the world in gray. And the sun will set for you.
6. One Step Closer
I find the answers aren't so clear. Wish I could find a way to disappear. All these thoughts they make no sense. I find bliss in ignorance.
7. Faint
Time won't heal this damage anymore. Don't turn your back on me I won't be ignored.
8. Breaking The Habit
I don't know what's worth fighting for or why I have to scream. I don't know why I instigate and say what I don't mean
9. The Catalyst
God save us, everyone. Will we burn inside the fires of a thousand suns? For the sins of our hand, the sins of our tongue
10. New Divide
Give me reason to fill this hole. Connect this space between. Let it be enough to reach the truth that lies across this new divide.
Rest in Peace, Chester Bennington. Your music will live on forever.
