Avengers: Endgame revealed Natasha Romanoff's fate but Marvel Cinematic Universe is all set to take us back to where Black Widow's story began. The Scarlett Johansson starrer superhero was introduced in 2010 release Iron Man 2. She was seen besides Robert Downey Jr's Tony Stark. She went on to feature in several MCU movies including Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Captain America: Civil War, The Avengers, Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame. Through it all, fans learned a few incidents of Nat's life. However, Marvel Studios is rolling out a solo movie on the beloved Black Widow to reveal details about her roots.

The filming has already begun. Photos from the sets have leaked showcasing Johansson in action. However, little is known about the plot as of now. But Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige has now revealed that the treatment of the movie could be influenced by the hit TV show Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul. Speaking to iO9, the producer spills the beans.

"There’s a method to the madness. There’s always a method and doing things in an unexpected way is something we find fun. There are ways to do prequels that are less informative or answer questions you didn’t necessarily have, and then there are ways to do prequels where you learn all sorts of things you never knew before," he said.

Feige further explained, "I look at Better Call Saul as a wonderful example of a prequel that almost completely stands on its own apart from Breaking Bad because it informs you about so many things you didn’t know about before. So time will tell which way we’ve gone with a supposed Black Widow movie."

Variety recently revealed that Ray Winstone has been roped in to play a role in the MCU movie. The movie is set to release in Marvel Cinematic Universe phase 4. The film is directed by Cate Shortland. The script is penned by Ned Benson and Jac Schaeffer.
