Avengers: Endgame reaches another milestone as it surpasses the original theatrical run of Avatar
The much loved Marvel movie Avengers: Endgame has finally surpassed the box office total of Avatar's original theatrical run. The movie is going to be re - released with some additional footage in the coming weekend.
The Marvel movie Avengers: Endgame which was released on April 26, 2019, has been creating numerous milestones one after the other. The movie, which has been directed by the Russo brothers, was among the most awaited movies of the year 2019. Upon its release, the movie broke various box office records and became one of the highest grossing movies of all times. However, it could not break the record created by James Cameron's Avatar which was released in the year 2009.
But now, the MCU movie has finally broken one record of Avatar. Yes, you heard it right! Avengers: Endgame has surpassed the box office total of the original theatrical run of Avatar. Now, the Marvel movie requires only USD 38.3 million to surpass the final gross row of Avatar. For the unversed, the makers of the movie Avatar had it re - released into the theatres which helped in generating extra earnings at the box office thereby making the record - breaking total. This means that the makers of Avengers: Endgame have to follow the same strategy in order to be labelled as the highest grossing movie of all times.

It has already been announced that Avengers: Endgame will be re - released into the theatres in the coming weekend. Moreover, some additional footage will also be added to the movie including some deleted scenes from the original movie. Now, it is yet to be seen whether the re - release of the movie will prove to be helpful in breaking Avatar's record or not.
