EXCLUSIVE: A.C.E's Chan feels Wow looks like a Siberian Husky; Members tease self composed songs for new album

'Out of the box' may seem like a done and dusted term when it comes to defining rising K-pop groups but in the past few years, A.C.E has truly dominated what it means to be innovative. If you ask any music critic or fan about A.C.E's music and artistic MVs, the common consensus would be: "It's nothing like I've ever seen before in K-pop."

Recently, Pinkvilla had the amazing opportunity to have a candid video chat with A.C.E members Jun, Donghun, Wow, Byeongkwan and Chan as our 'favourite boys' discussed their overwhelmed feelings on winning the Choice Global Hallyu Star Award at Apan Music Awards 2020 and how their humble beginnings of Hongdae busking days, where they'd cover artists like Big Bang, EXO and BTS, influenced them as artists who now perform in front of thousands and thousands of fans. Moreover, the members also described their own personal style as A.C.E have not just been breaking barriers with music, but fashion as well. A.C.E also revealed how their beloved and ever-growing fandom, known as CHOICE, have influenced them musically.

Given that HJZM: The Butterfly Phantasy received plenty of love all across the globe, as it deservedly should, we couldn't help but ask the boys to tease CHOICE about their highly-awaited first full-length album, which will come out in 2021. "We have really high expectations for our title song and if there's an opportunity or a chance, we would like to show our personal strengths to CHOICE, as a team. So, please look forward to our various charms," Wow disclosed, as translated by Byeongkwan. "And, members own self-composed songs," Byeongkwan further teased.

When it came to describing their favourite personality traits of their bandmates, Chan quipped about Wow, "He's always calming. He looks like a Siberian Husky. He's good looking." When it came to describing his leader Jun's personal charms, Wow sweetly shared, "He's innocent." About Donghun, Jun revealed, "He's always there for us and we love him."

"He's got so much passion that he never gives up. So I like the way he is hardworking always," Donghun praised Byeongkwan. For Chan, Byeongkwan admitted, "He has bright energy and energetic at all times. Good boy. Bubbly, bubbly guy," which led Chan to cutely show off his charming personality.

Finally, in a special message for Indian CHOICE, A.C.E shared their gratitude while disclosing their desire to have a concert in India. "We're very surprised that there are so many fans in India. Because of the situation, we couldn't go to India but we'll absolutely go to India someday soon when the situation gets better. Please look forward to it. And when that day comes, we would like to perform in front of you and want to have time for our conversation and communication. And please, please, please look forward to our next album. Thank you so much. We love you," Chan and Byeongkwan concluded.
