Eoin Morgan’s led England cricket team will encounter India in their must win clash to stay alive in the race of semi-finals. England, that started out to be dominating in the tournament, is seen struggling for the semis currently. They lost to Sri Lanka by a margin of 20 runs and then faced a solid 64 runs defeat against the defending champions, Australia. The team will look forward to give in their best in this do or die clash against the Men in Blue. Let’s have a look at their key players.

1. Joe Root- This English batsman has registered two centuries in the tournament so far and is the fifth highest run-scorer currently with 432 runs in his hands. Despite the team’s humiliating loss against the Lankans, Joe managed to smash a decent half century before losing his wicket to Lasith Malinga. He played an extraordinary innings against the West Indies where he scored an unbeaten 100 off only 94 deliveries and helped the team eventually win the match by 8 wickets.

2. Chris Woakes- Even though the hosts lost the game against Australia in their previous match of the tournament, Chris managed to claim two crucial wickets for the team. He provided the team a much needed breakthrough in the middle and was also the most economical bowler for the team. In his 10 over spell, Chris managed to claim two wickets and gave away just 46 runs with an exceptional economy of 4.60.
