England currently ranks fourth in the points table and was defeated by the Lankans by a solid 20 runs in their previous encounter. This loss will definitely alert them to not take any team lightly in the race to the semis. Eoin Morgan side will hope for their side to register a victory in every game from now as their next three games are against the top three teams playing in the tournament (Australia, India, New Zealand). Let’s have a look at their key players.

1. Joe Root- This English batsman has been in an exceptional form throughout the World Cup. He registered two hundreds and is the third highest run-scorer in the tournament. In the previous game against the Lankans, even though the team lost by a margin of 20 runs, Joe stepped in and smashed a half century and was the second highest run-scorer for the team.
