England vs Afghanistan, ICC Cricket World Cup 2019: Rashid Khan becomes most expensive bowler ever in WC
Rashid Khan conceded 110 runs against England, becoming the second most expensive bowler in ODI history
Afghanistan leg-spinner Rashid Khan became the most expensive player in World Cup history as his nine overs went for 110 runs against England on Tuesday. The unwanted record earlier belonged to New Zealand's Martin Snedden, who had given 105 runs in 12 overs in the 1983 World Cup. However, he had picked up 2 wickets while Khan went wicketless.
The Afghan is also the second most expensive player in ODI history, joint with Pakistan's Wahab Riaz who gave away 110 runs against England in 2016. The worst figures rest with Mick Lewis of Australia, who conceded 113 runs in 10 overs in 2006.
The spinner also conceded 11 sixes in his spell - seven of which were hit by Eoin Morgan.
