Can a movie like 'Paan Singh Tomar' make it big in Bollywood?

Among all the Bollywood movies set for release, the storyline of 'Paan Singh Tomar' seems the most interesting and original to me. The movie stars great actors like Irrfan Khan & Mahie Gill. The movie is directed by an intelligent filmaker Tigmanshu Dhulia and is produced by UTV.

Now my questions is, does a movie require a big Khan or a Kapoor to make it big? When I say make it big, I mean for the movie to have a great opening and be declared a hit. Is a good storyline, great performances and good script not sufficient? What are your thoughts?

Here is the storyline - From a small town of Madhya Pradesh rose an athlete who ruled the steeplechase event at the Indian National Games for 7 years in a row and whose record stood unbeaten for 10 years. His name was Paan Singh Tomar But his fame didn’t stop there – he became even more famous or rather infamous when he gave up his running shoes and went on to become a Baaghi and wreaked havoc in the Chambal Valley. Paan Singh Tomar is the true epic journey of a talented runner who turned into a rebel!

Paan Singh Tomar releases this Friday.

So my questions
