India's Most Wanted Box Office Collection Day 2: Arjun Kapoor starrer witnesses decent growth on Saturday
India's Most Wanted recorded a dull Day 1 box office collection on its opening day. However, it witnessed a notable growth on Day 2.
It was a patriotic-themed weekend at the box office as India's Most Wanted hit the big screen. The movie sees actor Arjun Kapoor portraying the role of Prabhat Kapoor, an officer who aims to nab a terrorist behind a series of blasts in the country. What makes this movie unique is that unlike other spy movies, the team of spies have to nab the terrorist sans the weapons. The Raj Kumar Gupta directorial opened to a dull Rs 1.85 crore on its opening day, disappointing Arjun Kapoor fans. However, India's Most Wanted's second day run at the box office paints a fairly better picture.
As per Box Office India, India's Most Wanted earned a day 2 collection of Rs 2.50 crore. As compared to its opening day collection, India's Most Wanted witnessed a growth of about 35 percent on its second day. While it is not as big as a 70 to 100 per cent jump, it is a decent growth provided the day 1 box office collection numbers. The two-day collection has helped India's Most Wanted to project a box office collection of Rs 4.25 crore nett plus.
The movie received mixed reviews. While several reviewers enjoyed the movie for it told a tale lesser known, there were others who felt the movie lacked the punch. However, several Bollywood stars enjoyed the movie. Ranveer Singh recently took to his Instagram Stories to tell the world he liked Arjun in the movie. Anushka Sharma took to Twitter and wrote, "Gritty, gripping and real. Well done team #IndiasMostWanted for backing the story of our unsung heroes. @arjunk26 you were amazing in the film! All the best to the entire team @foxstarhindi @rajkumar_rkg. Go watch!"
"#IndiasMostWanted is an important story that was needed to be told. Congratulations @arjunk26 on this sincere and a very controlled performance and @rajkumar_rkg on bringing this story about our unsung heroes on the silver screen. All the best team @foxstarhindi #RapchikFilms," Rajkummar Rao tweeted.
