Box Office Occupancy Report: Salman Khan's Race 3 gets a rock solid opening in the morning shows

The film has opened to mixed reviews - some critics have a called it a 'doomed adventure' and some have praised the film.
Now, the box office occupancy report is also out. According to BOI, the film has got an excellent opening of 50-55% on the first day morning shows. The best opening for the film has come in Delhi city and East Punjab as they are not affected by pre-EID celebrations. In terms of box office occupancy, the film is second as Baaghi 2 got a bumper opening of 57%.
According to early estimates for the opening day figures, Race 3 will make around Rs 30 crore. Trade analyst Akshaye Rathi told a leading daily, "Race 3 will make a minimum of Rs 30 Crore. So far the highest opening for Salman has been Sultan’s box office on Eid. The film made Rs 36.54 crore. Opening weekend for Race 3 will be big. A century at the box office by Race 3 doesn’t surprise me at all."
Girish Johar told Indian Express, "Eid hasn’t been announced as of now still Salman’s charm is working on his fans. Also, Anil Kapoor has left the audience excited for the film and Race 3 is expected to earn Rs 30 crore on its opening day."
In an interview, talking about his character, Salman Khan had said, "This movie has all the side of me. My character is sharp. He has humor, he is ruthless, and his basic characteristic is that he has suppressed all his emotions and you don't know what this man is all about till the end of the film."
