The world is slowly getting back to normal as various countries have started a vaccine drive for its citizens. However, it is still too soon to have a full-fledged concert with thousands of fans in attendance. Following in the footsteps of SEVENTEEN, who held their first-ever online concert In-Complete; BLACKPINK too had an online concert in the same month. On January 31, BLACKPINK held their first-ever online concert The Show, concluding it with record viewership worldwide.
According to a report carried out by Soompi via Sports Chosun, The Show drew approximately 280,000 paying members. YG Entertainment (BLACKPINK's label) revealed via Sports Chosun and Soompi, that USA Blinks outnumbered everyone and constituted 19.2% of the virtual audience. Thailand and the Philippines stood second and third respectively. BLACKPINK, second only to pop-sensation Justin Bieber, are also the most subscribed female artists in the world. The Show's record-breaking success also saw an impressive increase of 2.7 million subscribers, taking their total subscriber count to approximately 56.8 million subscribers.
BLACKPINK performed their chart-busting hits like Kill This Love, DDU-DU DDU-DU, Boombayah and Sour Candy. The members took the stage to perform their solo songs too. BLINKS were especially excited for Rosé's solo debut song Gone. Gone is an English track, composed by Rosé herself. Reportedly in the making for over three years now, Rosé finally released her labor of love for BLINKS to see. Moreover, Gone is a bittersweet song about heartbreak and longing. Backed by the melancholic guitar chords, it tugs at your heartstrings. BLINKS even deemed it as the highlight of the show.
