BTS and BLACKPINK to compete in the 'Favourite Music Group' category at Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards 2021

The Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards 2021 nominations list is finally out and BTS and BLACKPINK scored three and two nominations each. Find out their respective categories below.

BTS and BLACKPINK to compete in the 'Favourite Music Group' category at Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards 2021

While the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards 2021 will only be airing next month, March 13 to be exact, we have the nominations list to get us excited for the upcoming award ceremony. Amongst the several nominees, BTS and BLACKPINK were nominated in several categories as well including one which would see both K-pop groups competing for a possible win.

BTS and BLACKPINK have been nominated alongside Jonas Brothers, Maroon 5, OneRepublic and Black Eyed Peas in the Favourite Music Group category. Interestingly, BTS took home the trophy in the Favourite Music Group category last year. Speaking of the Bangtan Boys, their Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 single Dynamite has been nominated in the Favourite Song category and will be up against Cardigan by Taylor Swift, Yummy by Justin Bieber, Wonder by Shawn Mendes, Toosie Slide by Drake and Blinding Lights by The Weeknd.

BTS has also scored a nomination in the Favourite Global Music Star category for Asia and will be up against Taylor Swift (North America), David Guetta (Europe), Savannah Clarke (Australia), Sebastián Yatra (Latin America) and Master KG (Africa). It was in 2018 when BTS took home the trophy in the Favourite Global Music Star category.

As for BLACKPINK, the quartet and Selena Gomez have received a nomination in the Favourite Music Collaboration category for their epic song Ice Cream, which will be up against Holy by Justin Bieber ft. Chance The Rapper, Lonely by Justin Bieber and Benny Blanco, Stuck With U by Ariana Grande and Justin Bieber, Rain On Me by Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande and Be Kind by Marshmello and Halsey.
