Super girl-group BLACKPINK has been breaking previous records and making newer ones, ever since they debuted four years ago. The quartet, comprising of lead-rapper Jennie, lead vocalist Rosé, visual-vocalist Jisoo and lead dancer Lisa, are known for their foot-tapping songs and breathtaking dance moves while enjoying a stupendous global fan following, who identify themselves as BLINKS. The girl group has set another record of crossing 1.1 billion views for BOOMBAYAH, which also happens to be their debut music video.

According to Soompi, the official music video for BOOMBAYAH surpassed 1.1 billion views on YouTube on February 4 at approximately 4:35 pm KST. It has taken BLACKPINK four years, five months, and 26 days to achieve this incredible feat, since their debut on August 8, 2016, at 8 pm KST. Now, BOOMBAYAH has officially joined Kill This Love and DDU DU DD DU to make it to the 1.1 billion views club! It has also set another record of becoming the first K-Pop debut music video to achieve this milestone. BOOMBAYAH is a peppy dancing track with fun lyrics and a super-cool hook-step involving flipping one's hair. The video has a black and pink tone to complement the group's name and their girl-power image.
