She is of a great descent as her father, Mohamed Hadid, who constructs real estate in the 'high life' areas of Beverly Hills and Bel Air, is well-known himself. Her mother, Yolanda Hadid, is also of equal status as her dad, a former Dutch model.

Expanding on this family of models are Gigi's siblings, Anwar and Gigi, who are also successful models. It doesn't end there though as she claims heritage from Daher Al Omar, Prince of Nazareth and Sheikh of Galilee, from her father's side.

Career

Gigi is one of the youngest models, as her first casting was when she was a mere two-year-old baby! She modeled when she was a baby for a little while until she resigned to concentrate on her education. She rejoined the modeling world in 2011, and by 2012, she already became the face of a brand's campaigns.

She found her breakthrough starting the following year in 2013 by making her movie debut and gaining more exposure, which helped her get significant successes in 2014 when she made her New York Fashion Week debut and starred in movies and music videos.

In 2015, she won the Model of the Year award at the LA Annual Fashion Awards. She also came into a relationship with Zayn Malik, a prominent name, and after many ons and offs, they are now together with a daughter named Khai Hadid Malik, born in September 2020.

Along with significant magazine features, she also won the International Model of the Year award at the British Fashion Awards. From here on, the graph stayed pretty horizontal.

Aid in Social Causes

She is also an activist who has raised money for various noble causes, prominent ones include donating 70% of income on certain clothes to charity and raising USD 25k for disease diagnosis research. She is also close with UNICEF in children's matters, touring with them to Bangladesh and a few other places.
