Even as Team India players were gritting it out in the middle ahead of their World Cup opener against South Africa, head coach Ravi Shastri faced backlash on Twitter as an image of his with a young fan went viral.
The former India player faced criticism after posing with two women. Australian journalist Dennis Freedman took to Twitter to mock the coach and their World Cup preparations as well.
"India's World Cup preparations appear to be going well," Freedman captioned the image in which Shastri could be seen posing with young female fans.
Most Indians agreed with Dennis, who has previously attacked Indian cricketers in the past as well.
