World Cup 2019: German footballer Thomas Mueller wishes Team India for the World Cup

The cricket fever is in the air and football stars too have been unable to stay away. 

German footballer Thomas Mueller has come out in support of Virat Kohli and Team India and backed them to lift the trophy. 

On Twitter, the forward wrote, “I wish all participants of the Cricket #WorldCup2019 good luck & thrilling matches. Especially I cross my fingers for @imVkohli, the captain of the Indian team. He`s a fan of @DFB_Team and supported it multiple times in the past.”

Kohli has supported the German Football Team in the past, and was rooting for them in last year's FIFA World Cup that was staged in Russia. 

The Indian skipper thanked him for the support. 

India get their campaign underway on June 5 when they meet South Africa.
