Pakistan vs Sri Lanka, ICC World Cup 2019: Key Lankan players to watch out for
Sri Lanka will take on the Men in Green today at Bristol County ground.
Sri Lanka and Pakistan both have lost their first match of the tournament and made a robust comeback in their game. Pakistan lost its first match against West Indies by 7 wickets but won their second match against the tournament’s favourites, England by 14 runs. On the other hand, Sri Lanka were defeated by the Black Caps (New Zealand) by 10 wickets in their first match but registered a victory in their second match against Afghanistan by 34 runs. It will be an interesting encounter between these two teams and it will be crucial for both the teams to register their second win in order to move ahead in the tournament. Lets have a look at the key Lankan players.
Nuwan Pradeep- This Sri Lankan bowler can turn the match in Sri Lanka’s favour as he did in their previous encounter against the Afghans. He picked up 4 wickets in his 9 overs and was Sri Lanka’s most economical bowler. With an economy of 3.44, he did provide his team an edge in that match by giving 31 runs. He will play a crucial role in restricting the pakistan team to a low total.

Kusal Perera- This Sri Lankan batsman has been decently consistent with his form and can help the team achieve stability in their batting order. In the previous match against the Afghans, he scored 78 runs of just 81 deliveries with a strike rate of 96.30. Against the Kiwis, he managed to score a decent 29 runs in a match where the team crumbled to a score of 136.
