Ind vs SA, ICC World Cup 2019: Virat Kohli talks about injuries, pressure situations & Rabada’s comment
India will begin its World Cup campaign today at Rose Bowl cricket ground against the Proteas.
Indian skipper, Virat Kohli looks all calm and composed ahead of the team’s first match. Before India’s first match in the tournament, he addressed the media and talked about certain issues right from the injuries in the teams to Kagiso Rabada’s ‘immature’ comment. Let’s have a look.
Dale Steyn was recently ruled out of the tournament due to his shoulder injury which was a big blow to the South African team. Despite the recent injuries that had blown the South African side, the Indian skipper still believes that the Proteas are extremely talented and dangerous team.
In a pre-match press conference, Virat said that even with the replacements in the team, they would be a strong side and the Indian team doesn’t like to take anyone lightly on the field. He stated that even a youngster who steps in to play with a correct mindset can replace their key player.
Virat Kohli also mentioned that the first week of the tournament has been exciting and there were a few one sided games as well. To deal with pressure situations effectively, it will be crucial for the teams to remain composed. He said that teams that are more composed are winning more matches in the tournament.
Kagiso Rabada, recently made a comment about Virat Kohli, calling him immature and said that the Indian skipper cannot take abuses. When asked about the recent remarks made by Kagiso Rabada, Virat Kohli said that if anything needs to be discussed then it should be ‘man-to-man.’ Later, he praised the South African bowler saying that his passion and skill set makes him a world class bowler and a threat to any side that he plays against in the tournament.
