Indian skipper, Virat Kohli on Thursday posted a picture of him with teammates ahead of the next match at London. The boys in blue were all smiles after returning from a comprehensive win against South Africa in the World Cup opener on Wednesday.

India started their campaign quite late in the tournament, however, proving to be fruitful for them as stated by Virat Kohli earlier. They completely outplayed Proteas at Ageas Bowl with bowlers producing a spectacular show. The bowling spearhead, Jasprit Bumrah led from the front, removing South African openers early after Faf du Plessis chose to bat first. Later, it was the wrist-spin duo of Yuzvendra Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav who rattled the middle and lower order.

After restricting Proteas to a paltry score of 227 runs, India got off to a struggling start. The Men in Blue lost opener, Shikhar Dhawan, early and soon captain Virat Kohli as well. Protea bowlers, Kagiso Rabada, in particular, were bowling exceptionally well. However, Rohit Sharma fought well, scoring a gutsy 100 to take India home with six wickets in hand.

After the win, Virat Kohli took to his social media, uploading a picture with teammates including MS Dhoni, Hardik Pandya, Jasprit Bumrah and few others. The 30-year-old captioned the pic with, “ Next stop London. #travelday #CWC19” as India next plays Australia at Oval on June 9.

The Kohli’s men would be aiming to continue their winning momentum, however, Australia been in the top form won’t give it away easily.
