ICC World Cup 2019: MS Dhoni does not have too many weaknesses, says former Aussie cricketer Michael Hussey
Indian cricketer MS Dhoni and former Australian batsman Michael Hussey have played together in the IPL and represented Chennai Super Kings.
Michael Hussey who was named as CSK’s batting coach in 2018 feels that the former Indian skipper does not have too many weaknesses. When asked whether he would share his insights on MS Dhoni with his Australian team ahead of their match against the Men in Blue on Sunday, he said, “No Chance.”
In an exclusive interview with PTI, Hussey revealed that he is sure all the players in the team will do their thorough research and analysis on MS Dhoni before they step onto this big game in the tournament. Whilst praising the Indian player, he said that MS Dhoni’s composure under pressure situations is his biggest strength and he is a very smart player who calculates the game and sticks to his strengths.
Apart from the 2011 World Cup winning captain, MS Dhoni, Hussey also had mentioned the other two crucial players for the team, Jasprit Bumrah and Hardik Panyda.
Bumrah provided an excellent start to the Men in Blue in their first match of the tournament where they defeated the Proteas. Bumrah managed to pick up two early wickets for the team and sent both the South African openers back to the pavilion. Michael Hussey said that whenever the Indian team is desperate for a wicket, we can see Bumrah bowl. He also mentioned that though there will be a lot of pressure on him, he handles it exceptionally well.
For Indian all-rounder Hardik Pandya, Hussey revealed that he would not like to bowl if Hardik Pandya and MS Dhoni are batting at the end of the innings.
Both Australia and India had a wonderful start to their ICC World Cup 2019 campaign and it will be an interesting encounter between these two teams at The Oval, London.
