The World Cup that commenced from May 30 had its first game between the hosts and the Proteas. However, India will play its first match tomorrow, i.e. on June 5.
It has been a week since the commencement of the ICC World Cup 2019. The Indian cricket team fans will finally have a moment to cheer as they take on the Proteas in their first official match of the tournament. The fans were quite furious and were tired for waiting to see their team on the field. They blame ICC for scheduling India’s match after a week of commencement of the tournament. As all the other teams have already entered this tournament, the fans are just waiting for the entry of the Men in Blue to uplift the excitement of the tournament. The tournament has seen some of the exiting encounters between the teams right from the first game. Be it spectacular catches, exceptional bowling figures or extra-ordinary batting performances, we have seen it all in the tournament. South Africa, on the other hand, has already played 2 of their matches in the tournament (against England and Bangladesh). Yet the Indian squad is still waiting for their first match. A team as robust as South Africa lost both their previous matches. They lost to England by a huge margin of 104 runs and to Bangladesh by 21 runs. It will be interesting to see whether they can register their first World Cup 2019 win against the Men in Blue or not.
