Virat Kohli led men in blue had a splendid start to the tournament as they defeated the South African team and emerged victorious in their first match. From Jasprit Bumrah to Rohit Sharma, the team witness an overall performance by both batting as well as the bowling side. Bumrah provided an extra edge to the team by dismissing both the Proteas bowlers at the early stage of the match. Yuzvendra Chahal continued the bowling attack by taking 4 wickets in his 10 over spell. Rohit Sharma, led the team’s batting and scored 122 runs in 144 delivieries that helped the team chase the target in 47.3 overs. Indian team with its all round performance entered the tournament on a positive note.
