MS Dhoni's decision to wear gloves with the insignia of the Indian Para Special Forces during India's game with South Africa in the ongoing World Cup has stirred controversy. After the ICC asked the BCCI to get it removed as it goes against the regulations, Pakistan minister for science and technology Fawad Chaudhry has called out the gesture as well.

The minister with the Imran Khan goverment also slammed the Indian media for supporting the act.

“Dhoni is in England to play cricket not to for MahaBharta , what an idiotic debate in Indian Media, a section of Indian media is so obsessed with War they should be sent to Syria, Afghanistan Or Rawanda as mercenaries,” Fawad tweeted.

Balidaan is an insignia of the special forces, which is a part of the Parachute Regiment. Only Paramilitary Commandos are allowed to wear the badge.

Dhoni, who was honoured with the honorary rank of Lietenant Colonel in the Parachute Regiment in 2011 has also undergone training in the Para Brigade in 2015.

The ICC had earlier asked BCCI to get the gloves removed as they go against the clothing regulations.

India next meet Australia on Sunday.
