ICC World Cup 2019: Australians are going to be a tough team to handle, says Sachin Tendulkar
Ahead of India’s second match at the ICC World Cup 2019, Sachin Tendulkar advises the Men in Blue to carry the confidence gained from their previous win.
Virat Kohli led Indian cricket Team are all set to play their second match of the tournament against the Aussies at The Oval, London. The team had a fantastic start to their World Cup campaign as they defeated the Proteas in their opening match of the tournament. The match witnessed a power-pack batting display by the Indian opener, Rohit Sharma and exceptional bowling by Jasprit Bumrah and Hardik Pandya.
In an interview with India Today, Sachin Tendulkar advised the Indian team to carry the same confidence gained from the previous game as Australia is going to be a tough team to handle because of their combination and confidence at the moment.
Australia has won both their previous matches in the tournament and will look forward to register their third win in the tournament. Their prominent bowler, Mitchell Starc picked up 5 crucial wickets for the team in their previous match against West Indies with an exceptional bowling economy of 4.60.
Sachin said that the extra bounce at the pitch of Oval might favour the Australians more as they are more used to that type of pitches. Overall, fans can expect a good game from both the sides
He said that the Indian team has the ammunition to go out and do what is required and that they are ready to face the Australian attack. He mentioned that the Indian team has done well in the past against their bowling attack and will be ready to do the same.
