Former fast bowler, captain and coach of the Pakistan cricket team Wasim Akram celebrated his 52nd birthday at Trent Bridge stadium where Pakistan are playing against the tournament’s favourites England.

Wasim Akram, who is regarded as the greatest fast bowlers in the Wworld, has more than 500 ODI wickets to his credit.

In his tweet, he urged the Pakistan cricket team to register the tournament’s first win against the hosts today at Trent Bridge Stadium. He thanked his fans for all the birthday wishes and he hopes that the Men in Green would make his day better by registering their first victory in the WC 2019.


The Pathan brothers wished the fast bowler through their tweet and they still regard him as the best of all time. Irfan Pathan tweeted as, “Still stop and pause on the channel if his bowling highlights are on, Best left arm bowler of all time @wasimakramlive bhai happy birthday to you”. His brother all-rounder, Yusuf Pathan also poured his wishes for the Pakistani stalwart. He tweeted, “Wishing one of the finest pacers @wasimakramlive bhai a very happy birthday. May you have a healthy year going ahead. #birthday”.





Harbhajan Singh posted this picture with the former player and he stated that he is the best left arm fast bowler to ever play the game.



Former South African batsman, Herschelle Gibbs also wished the stalwart through his Twitter post.
