New Zealand will walk into their clash with Afghanistan high on confidence after two straight wins, while their rivals are yet to register points on the board in the World Cup. Their best chance of getting a win will be if their star players Rashid Khan and Mohammad Nabi can play like champions and bamboozle the Kiwi batters.

The Afghan side often have opened the bowling attack with spin, and if that is the case, Nabi's battle with Martin Guptill could be an enticing one. Guptill has traditionally struggled against the tweakers, and if he faces Nabi upfront, he could be in all sorts of trouble. The Kiwi opener dislikes it when the ball comes back into him, and facing a variety of spinning balls has been his weakness.

The Afghan all-rounder has been the in-form bowler in this World Cup and he will be looking to replicate his feats against Guptill. If the ball crashes off the surface and comes back into Guptill's pads, then Nabi could end up getting his wicket.
