Who is this man in disguise of a woman during Roshni aka Nia Sharma’s “Haldi” in ‘Jamai Raja’? (PICS)
Ravi Dubey may have played different characters on screen, but his latest avatar had him in jitters. Wondering what could that be? Well, the actor had to dress up like a woman for a sequence in his show 'Jamai Raja'.
And, he admits that it wasn't easy to pull off the sari look. Divulging the details of the upcoming sequence, Ravi says, "A haldi ceremony was being performed for Roshni (Nia Sharma). And since men aren't allowed, I had to sneak-in, disguised as an old village woman. My on-screen sister Kritika (Isha Sharma) helped my character to get into the house and fulfill my wish of applying haldi to Roshni. Even Roshni didn't know it at that time. No one knew it was Siddharth in disguise but he thought many people might recognize him, so he tried hard to conceal his identity which made the sequence very funny, entertaining as well as romantic. "
However, this is not the first time he dressed up as a woman. Ravi had performed a dance number for an event with his real wife Sargun Mehta, for which he attempted a dance form which only girls would normally do.
“Even this sequence that I shot recently was as much fun as the last time. The disguise is not an easy one to pull off, but its fun. With these experiences, I can claim that it's not easy being a woman. As an actor it's always challenging. I managed to pull it up,” he says.
