Brace yourself for more entertainment readers as COLORS’ new drama ‘Ishq Ka Rang Safed’ will soon hit the small screen and take your on a long journey to tell the saga of a young widow and her thorny life. Based in the rich cultural and spiritual environs of ancient town of Benaras, ‘Ishq Ka Rang Safed’ will feature Viplav and Dhani. New comer Eisha Singh from Bhopal has been cast opposite Mishal Raheja in the show and together both promise to create some high voltage drama onscreen.

Speaking about his role as Viplab, Mishal Raheja said, “I wanted to make a comeback to the small screen with a strong character with a difference. Viplab fit in perfectly and was in sync with what I had in mind. Besides, in a female centric industry, it is rare that you bag a character which has much do in a soap. Ishq Ka Rang Safed gives me an opportunity to do a lot with my character since it is a show with several layers, colors and transitions. I immediately knew I had to sign the show!”

Commenting about her role as Dhani, a young widow, Eisha commented, “With Ishq Ka Rang Safed, I will kick start my acting career on a high note. At the threshold of my journey as an actor, essaying the role of the young widow Dhani will add great value to my experience. While playing a bubbly girl-next door appeals to every young actor, I feel lucky to have landed a challenging role such as Dhaani.”

Ask her if playing the role of a widow will adversely affect her career path as an actor and she immediately says, “Eminent Bollywood actresses such as Vidya Balan and Preity Zinta have played roles which have been in contrast to their age but these roles have only enhanced their performance as an actor. While Vidya Balan has played the role of Amitabh Bachchan’s mother in Paa, Preity Zinta in her very first movie played the role of a single mother. Similarly, I am certain that Ishq Ka Rang Safed will groom me in the right direction as an actor.”
