MET Gala is here!! It was the first Monday of May and it was Met Gala time. The fundraiser over the years has had extremely intriguing, interesting and mind-boggling themes. This year by far has to the most controversial one. The 2018 theme focused on "fashion and religion" (two of the most sensitive themes put together). The theme was: Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and Catholic Imagination. It has been said that the topic was chosen since many major designers such as John Galliano and Riccardo Tisci have been referencing religion in their collections. The glamorous fundraiser for the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute is held annually on the first Monday of May. The invitation-only event raises money for the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute. The ball saw a glamourous guestlist with celebrities like Rihanna, Madonna, Blake Lively, Vogue-editor-in-chief Anna Wintour, George and Amal Clooney, Miley Cyrus, Gigi and Bella Hadid, Kim Kardashian West, Kylie and Kendall Jenner, Ariana Grande. Selena Gomez to name a few.
