In an unfortunate event, filmmaker-actor Nishikant Kamat has passed away. A few days ago, it was reported that the filmmaker was admitted to a hospital in Hyderabad on July 31. The hospital released a statement stating that he has been diagnosed with chronic liver disease as well as other secondary infections. Soon followed wishes from fans and friends from the industry for his speedy recovery. The Drishyam director has directed established stars like John Abraham, Irrfan Khan, Ajay Devgn and more.
