Anurag Kashyap appears before Mumbai Police at Versova for questioning in sexual assault case filed by Payal Ghosh. The Versova police station issued summons to Anurag Kashyap on Wednesday to record his statement. This is in connection with a sexual misconduct case filed against him by Payal Ghosh on September 22. After which, the Mumbai Police registered an FIR against the filmmaker. The actor has alleged that Kashyap ‘raped’ her seven years ago. However, Anurag had dismissed the allegations earlier, terming them as ‘baseless’. The case has been registered under Sections 376 (I) (rape), 354 (assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty,), 341 (wrongful restraint) and 342 (wrongful confinement) of Indian Penal Code were registered.
