Surekha Sikri being considered for a special role in ‘Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani’
The hardy matriarch turned loving social crusader Dadisa aka Surekha Sikri of ‘Balika Vadhu’ may soon be seen in a different role in a new TV series.
An entertainment site reports that Surekha is in talks with the makers of Siddhant Karnick and Drashti Dhami starrer ‘ Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani’. The role offered to Surekha is that of a classy grandmother to Siddhant’s character who is a member of the royal family.
Surekha emerged as a star of ‘Balika Vadhu’ by her stunning act, and if this new deal works out, she will for sure set the small screen ablaze by presenting herself in a different avatar. After all, this veteran actress can still give any young star or an old actor a good run money.
The show ‘Ek Tha Raja…’ is being pproduced by Sphere Origins and Nilanjana Purkyasstha and it will mark the comeback of Drashti and Siddhant on the small screen.
