This is something we were expecting to happen all this while. Well, the news is that Sunil Grover’s ambitious show ‘Mad in India’ is going off air very soon.

A source associated to Star Plus spoke about the channel’s decision to pull off the show in the coming months as it is not generating enough revenue and viewership.

This is really sad news as Sunil Grover, who plays Chutki in Mad in India, was very pumped-up about the show especially after his infamous exit from Kapil Sharma’s ‘Comedy Nights with Kapil’.

‘Mad in India’ started with a bang but gathered lukewarm response from all corners. Moreover, direct comparisons with ‘Comedy Nights…’ made its stand weaker. Now that the boat is sinking at a fast pace, the makers of the show think it wise to shut shop soon!

We hear that ‘Mad in India’ will be replaced by singer Yo Yo Honey Singh’s singing talent show. But whatever the channel opts to do next, our heart goes out to Sunil Grover aka Chutki who at least dared to do something on his own.
