Deepika aka Sandhya does a Kiran Bedi by doing a dangerous stunt!
Sandhya has chosen IPS as her career and this comes with lots of dangerous stints. Recently Deepika Singh aka Sandhya from Star Plus’ Diya aur Baati Hum had to do a stunt of jumping into fire to save people. This incident is inspired by a real life experience of Kiran Bedi, the first woman IPS officer of India.
Deepika who has recently married in real life, didn’t think twice to do the scene on her own despite the fact that makers of the show had called her body double to do this dangerous sequence. She did the stunt fearlessly and her body double just waited for hours without any work. Deepika said “I was very happy with the reactions that the audiences are giving me for my role. Also this is something that Kiran Bedi did on her own hence I was very much motivated to try it. If she could do it in real life I was in a better space as I had so much of technical support and the crew waiting for me. It feels very good!”
Indeed, she proved that she is not doing this role just for the show, she believes in fighting with one’s fear. Hats off to Deepika!! What say readers?
