Harshad Chopra's 'not an easy man' comeback in 'Humsafars'
TV heartthrob Harshad Chopra is making a suave comeback as Sahir with Sony’s ‘Hamsafars’ after two-year long break. Speaking about his comeback Harshad says, “I was not on break literally as I had to attend some personal work. What I liked the most about 'Humsafars' is that it is a story of 2 incomplete people who come together to complete each other.”
The show is set against a Muslim backdrop and Harshad plays Sahir who owns a fashion house and his character has many layers. “My role is very intense, multilayered. Sahir’s love story with Arzoo is a complete case of extreme contradiction like light and darkness.”
Harshad is completely smitten by the way his character has been written and states, “Sahir is vulnerable but not an easy man. His veneer is such that he is not easily penetrable.”
Harshad in real life also makes himself not easily available. He likes his space. “I like my time spend at home. I can spend whole day working at home and not going out. I read and watch
videos on google and youtube about things I want to know about.” And can you believe he has not been to a theatre in past 3 years!
Well Harshad is not at all complaining as he says, “I am a workaholic. I didn’t miss out on anything. I was working when I was doing TV and even when I was not doing television. I was busy but not very busy. There was a personal tragedy in my house and I was not in a state of mind to work. I am starting afresh.”
