First Look: The grand set of ‘Razia Sultan’ unveiled! (PICS)
The gates to the royal set of &TV’s upcoming magnum opus - ‘Razia Sultan’ – were flung open recently in Umargaon.
The brightly lit and beautifully crafted durbar witnessed the presence of Emperor Iltutmish (Sooraj Thapar) addressing his close associates like Shamshad Begum (Seema Kapoor), Qutub Begum (Khalida Turi), Princess Razia (Pankhuri Awasthy) and Ruknuddin (Ankit Arora). The show narrates the saga of 13th century slave dynasty and how a Mughal woman for the first time in history took over the reins of Delhi empire single-handedly. The show also marks the TV debut of actress Sambhavna Seth as courtesan Shah Turkan.
Producer Siddharth Kumar Tewary of Swastik Productions, whose last period venture ‘Mahabharat’ became a small screen sensation, was present at the unveiling ceremony.
‘Razia Sultan’ will go on air on March 2nd, Mon-Fri 7:30pm only on &TV.
