Actor Siddhant Karnick is in a state of shock after he came to learn about some reactions to his latest commercial for a leading telecom company, Airtel.

Siddhant who is a popular face on TV, did this commercial in Malaysia few weeks back. The commercial defines a very sweet and unique relationship of a married couple where the wife is the boss of her husband. One evening, the wife asks her husband to work and meet the deadline. She herself finishes off her work and goes back home. And after reaching home she prepares dinner of her hubby's choice. She makes a video call to her husband to show him dinner to make him smile, thereby, portraying the strength of the network. The ad is being directed by Vinil Mathew who also directed the film ‘Hasee Toh Phasee’.

Talking about this controversy Siddhant says, "I have never thought in my wildest dreams that this cute presentation of a couple’s relationship in a commercial will create such a bizarre controversy. With Vinyl this is my third commercial and we both share a very good rapport. He is also a perfectionist and knows how to extract the true emotions in an ad film. I wish people have better things to do in their life. The ad defines that how caring you can be with your husband inspite of telling him to work you are also cooking for him."

Siddhant also feels that the reactions from a certain group of people are really not logical. "I have read people have commented about double income group and no kids and why the couple could not afford to have maid. How can one explain everything in a couple of minutes commercial? And whatever feedback I have got, it is mostly are from my female friends. They just loved the ad and a few think that it is a very romantic way of showing your love for your husband,” concludes Siddhant.
